Burglary
A burglary occurred at a residence on Betz Road. A person broke into the house while the occupants were home and made threats with a weapon. The incident is being investigated by the Cheney Police Department.

Drug Violation
A male student on the fourth floor in Dressler Hall was arrested for possessing marijuana.

A male student on the fifth floor in Streeter Hall was arrested for possessing marijuana.

A student on the first floor of Streeter Hall was cited with an MIP.

Sept. 23
Drug Violation
A female student in Dressler Hall was reported for possessing marijuana. Officers tracked down the student and found her at the Alpha Phi sorority house. She was cited and released.

11:30 p.m.
Vandalism
Graffiti was found in the men’s bathroom in the PUB. The graffiti was gang related and written across the mirror in spray paint. There are no suspects at this time.
11:50 p.m.
Theft
A student’s purse was stolen at the PUB. The wallet was later found emptied in front of Louise Anderson Hall. There are no suspects at this time.

Alcohol violation
Two students were reported for being intoxicated in Brewster Hall. They were referred to the OSRR.

Alcohol violation
A female student in Streeter Hall was reported for being intoxicated. She was too intoxicated for police to get a blood alcohol reading but was not transported to the hospital. She was referred to the OSRR.

Theft
An iphone was stolen from an employee’s desk in Sutton Hall. There are no suspects at this time.

Theft
A bike was stolen from the shot-put area behind the Phase. There are no suspects at this time.

12:10 a.m.
Minor in Possession
An underage non student was cited with an MIP in Dressler Hall. He was cited and released.
11:00 p.m.
Agency Assist
EWU police helped the Cheney police department search for a suspect. The suspect was unable to be located.

12:40 a.m.
Assault
A male student was sitting outside of Streeter Hall when he was physically attacked by an unknown male for no apparent reason. The suspect was described as a white male wearing a red shirt and jeans.

Minor in Possession
Two male students were reported after fighting and rolling around in Streeter Hall. Both were found to be intoxicated and both were cited with an MIP. One student was transported to the hospital to be treated for a wound.

Alcohol Violation
A male and female student were reported for being intoxicated in Morrison Hall. They were referred to the OSRR.
8:05 p.m.
Harassment
A female student in Dressler Hall reported harassment after attending a school sponsored dance. An over-amorous male student followed her home from the dance and then repeatedly called her. EWU officers made contact with the male student and asked him to stop.
Sept. 30
2:12 a.m.
Burglary
A student was found threatening people with a knife at 3rd and Cocolalla Street. While intoxicated, he kicked open a door at a residence and then threatened the occupants of the home. He was arrested and turned over to the Cheney police department.
11:59 p.m.
Suspended license
During a traffic stop a student was found to have a suspended license resulting from unpaid parking tickets. The student was cited and released.
Tip of the Week: Call home every few days to check in with your parents. Better yet, teach them how to text. Just because you’re at school and on your own now doesn’t mean you don’t have parents anymore. Your mother shouldn’t have to call the police department to find out if you’re still alive because you don’t return her calls.
