About The Easterner

Established in 1916, The Easterner is the student-led, student-run news organization on the campus of Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington. The Easterner is independent from EWU and is edited and run strictly by students.

Misson 

We, as independent student journalists at The Easterner, inform our EWU audience of the governance, activities and views of our community. We provide a voice and a learning environment for students to engage, connect and make informed decisions.

The Easterner believes that the EWU community deserves a news source it can trust. The Easterner strives to be a unified team of knowledgeable and knowledge-seeking students that offer diverse perspectives on the events of the day.

Circulation

The Easterner publishes web content during the week here at theeasterner.org.
