An incident was reported at 11:47 p.m. of a tagging of the southside of Reese Court. The graffiti was not derogatory or racial in manner. The incident was referred to facilities.
Suspicious Person / Bias Complaint — Mar. 21st
An incident was reported by a worker at the PUB where a male student was using an Eagle card, that did not belong to him, to purchase items. The employee, when speaking to the student during the incident, used racial slurs in addressing them. The student was cordial in the incident.
After investigation, the student had permission to use the card but was informed that it was against policy.
Sexual Assault — Mar. 23rd
A female student reported that she was sexually assaulted by a TSA agent. The incident occurred on her connecting flight from Minneapolis, MN. She filed a complaint with TSA, but wanted to document it with EWU police. She was interviewed by EWU police over the phone and declined resources.
Burglary, Malicious Mischief — Mar. 23rd
Vandalism was reported at 3:56 p.m. at Roos Field. The suspects had graffitied inside the fencing of the field. The police classified the incident as a burglary because they were trespassing. No arrests were made.
Extortion — Apr. 1st
A male student was exchanging explicit photos online with a person who he believed to be female. Immediately after the photos were sent, the suspect demanded money and threatened to send the photos to EWU, which employs the student. The case was referred to the Spokane Police Department.
Hit and Run— Apr. 4th
A student reported their car was hit by an unknown driver by Streeter Hall. The car had been damaged. Police were able to locate the driver, and they admitted fault.
