With the roll out of the new STA Connect app in early fall, catching the bus just got easier and more convenient for staff and students. The app creates a virtual  eConnect card that lets you onto the bus via your phone. 

The STA Connect app offers a variety of features. It includes real-time tracking so you can see what time the bus will arrive. It includes schedules for all routes between Cheney and Spokane. It also notifies you of service changes and delays on various routes. 

You can set it up via the Apple App Store using your Eastern email account. The app will prompt you to create an “eConnect,” card and ask you to create a name for it. 

Then, click the Partner Agency icon below your virtual card, which will prompt you to select the Link Partnership button. A list of organizations, including universities make sure you select Eastern Washington University and click the Link Now button. You will then be sent to a page asking you to Add Passes. The card should appear, and users must click Add Pass for it to be added to your account. Your pass will be displayed under Cards. 

Once the pass is created, the account balance will appear as zero. Since transportation is included in tuition fees, here is no need to load money onto your account. If you already have a physical bus pass linked to your account, you cannot create an eConnect card under the same account.
