An open forum will be held Thursday Oct. 25 in the PUB room 206 giving the campus community a chance to take part in the university’s ten-year master facilities plan. According to senior project manager for the department of construction and planning Jim Moeller, project consultants will present project details at the forum. Consultants will also ask the audience for input on what they think needs to be added to or improved on campus. The forum will be from 4 to 5 p.m.

The Facilities and Planning department for the university is in the process of revising the ten-year master plan. The plan gears towards meeting the needs of students, faculty, staff and community members.

Plans drafted last April are the projects currently under revision. Major projects include Patterson Hall and upgrades to the campus water system. According to Associate Vice President for Facilities and Planning Shane King, plans are revised every two years when the department submits their capital budget.

“This year we decided to really go back and do a major revision overall based upon the new university strategic plan,” King said.
