“Oregon it is.” Vernon Adams to transfer

FCS All-American quarterback Vernon Adams announced Monday morning via his Instagram page that he will be transferring to the University of Oregon for his fifth-eligible season.

Adams will be eligible to participate in all football activities for Oregon in the spring once he graduates with his undergraduate degree at Eastern Washington University.

Adams threw for 10,438 yards, 110 touchdowns and 31 interceptions while completing 64.8 percent of his passes. He was a runner-up for the Walter Payton Award the past two seasons.

“Oregon it is! First off, I want to thank God for this amazing opportunity. I want to thank all of Eagle Nation for all the love and support. Want to thank every single one of my teammates for pushing me to be a better man/athlete everyday these past 4 years. Definitely want to thank Coach B, the coaching staff, and the everybody upstairs who has something to do with my success. Thank you Coach B for being the first school to ever offer me, you’ll always be a good friend of mine. I also want to thank all the other athletes and coaching staff’s here at EWU for all the love & support.
