EWU defeated Portland State in a wild and historic 3 OT game. Forwards Bogdan Bliznyuk and Jake Wiley each scored 45 points, tying the school record. The Eagles scored 130 points, setting the school record, and the combined 254 points set the Big Sky Conference record. Also, with this win Coach Jim Hayford became the fastest coach in EWU’s 109-season history to reach 100 wins, doing so in just 6 seasons.
