Eastern hits record enrollment
October 10, 2014
A record amount of students are on the EWU campus this year.
Jumping from 12,791 students in fall 2013, enrollment at the university is currently at 13,453 according to Eastern’s website.
The overall headcount includes students that take classes as undergraduates as well as at the graduate level.
Freshmen enrollment also spiked. The university counted 1,598 first-time freshmen attending classes. The last time the freshman class was this large was in 2005, where enrollment was at 1,610 students.
The record enrollment falls in line with EWU’s new requirement that freshmen must live on campus.
