Pursuing a post-capitalist agenda in a hip European country, where I will host weekly lectures about the dearth of creativity in postmodern art and will refuse to watch English-language movies.
What was your most memorable Easterner moment?
Forgetting to self-censor my drafts before turning them in to my editor. Corollary: receiving weekly emails that said, “We can’t print this.”
What is your parting statement?
Don’t forget to laugh. If you’ve lost your sense of humor, you’ve lost everything.
Funniest memory
Almost mistakenly pouring myself a glass of tea instead of water at the Society of Professional Journalists convention. The look on Libby Campbell’s face was priceless.
